ARBC Weekday Preschool

ARBC Weekday Program is an outreach ministry for families of preschoolers.  Our program provides a Christian and educational foundation which helps each child develop spiritually and socially.  Our goal is to provide a loving, safe, Christian environment for preschoolers where they may obtain a high quality of early childhood education and spiritual nurturing.

CURRICULUM

The three and four year old classes follow set guidelines based on the Macmillan Curriculum and recommended units of study to ensure their readiness for kindergarten.  All classes use the WEE Learn Curriculum.  The Bible-based units in this curriculum are developed around themes that lay the foundation for a beginning understanding of God, Jesus, the Bible, the church, self, others, and the natural world.  Our classes are also filled with craft time, reading time, and play time to help master social skills.  As enhancements to the program, the children go on nature walks, have special cooking days, prepare seasonal events to which parents are invited, and perform an end-of-the-year school program.  Our preschool children enjoy in-house visits from our community helpers, medical personnel.  Each child attends music class and computer lab twice a week.

SCHOOL HOURS AND TERM

Preschool begins at 9:20 and ends at 1:10.  The school year begins the Tuesday after Labor Day.  Due to the fact that our preschool families reside in different counties, we follow our own School Calendar.

REQUIREMENTS

Children age one year through age four are accepted in the program.  A registration fee is required and is non-refundable.  A health immunization certificate from your child’s physician is required.

FACULTY

Our teachers are Christians who love teaching and being with children. The ARBC Preschool is a member of the Dekalb/ Gwinnett Preschool Association and The Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association. A minimum of ten hours’ training is required of each teacher annually.  CPR Red Cross certification is also required.
