Operation Christmas Child 2012

Our goal for 2012 is to collect 400 shoeboxes.  These boxes are sent all over the world during the month of December to bring the joy of Christmas, and hope of Christ to children all around the world.

To reach our goal we are collecting different items each month throughout the year.

For the month of May please bring small cars, small dolls, or a small stuffed animal along with an item from the miscellaneous list below.

Don’t forget your one time fee of $7/box to help with the shipping.

Miscellaneous Items

Nerf or rubber balls

Yo-yos

Jump ropes

Small games

Small puzzles

Hair accessories, jewelry

Small flashlights/batteries

Small purses

Marbles

Jacks

Combs & brushes

Small cars

Small dolls

Harmonicas

VBS 2012

Its time to begin recruiting help for this important event at our church.  Many volunteers will be needed, so please begin to pray about your involvement with this year’s VBS.

 

To volunteer you may see Yaritza Hill or Will Wright at the Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings.  Or you can email Will: will.wright@arbc.org or go to www.sonlightkids.org/vbs

 

There will be leader training on Tuesday May 15, 6-8pm.

ARBC 30th Anniversary

On Sunday April 29th, 2012, Annistown Road Baptist Church will celebrate its 30 year anniversary.  We will have a special service at 10:30am with Jo Jo Thomas as special guest speaker.  Following the service we will have dinner on the grounds.

Courageous Bible Study

Beginning on Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 pm, we will have a Bible study based on the movie “Courageous”.  You will be challenged to get out of your comfort zone, work through hidden issues from your past, and make strategic sacrifices for the sake of your family and your faith.  Men & women will split into breakout sessions after the video portion of the class.
